SAGADA: Get the most out of it!

Living in this fast paced urban city, we take time to unwind and relax. Possibly, going somewhere out the city-travelling to less crowded areas maybe?

If you think you've went to every grove for a serene trip, why don't you check out SAGADA? Up in the mountains, catch a glimpse of heaven in this list.

1. Stunning sunrise

All the natural attractions can be found in SAGADA. and it's no surprise why you'd find one of the amazing views in the world. Sunrise viewing on Mt. Kiltepan is hailed truly as a breathtaking view on a cold early morning.

2. Caves, Cliffs for your Adventure needs

This municipality held numerous caves perfect for exploring, spelunking and anything that involves you and your feet to traverse and work your muscles out! But be careful alright? Always have a guide when traversing these unique rock formations. And conquer the cliffs!

3. Rich Traditions,History and...Hanging Coffins?

High up in the northernmost part of Luzon, the place isn't much conquered during the Spanish Era. Hence, the people here aren't influenced by Catholicism. Rather they are baptized by American missionaries in the Episcopal Church. And you bet they can speak in fluent English as Cebuanos!
Igorots, or the indigenous people we have are the ones predominantly living here. And they've kept up such rich culture even today.

The Hanging coffins, a Sagadan attraction became so because of the people's belief that by hanging deceased loved ones' coffins in the cliff they'll have a high chance closer to heaven. Other traditions are still up like weaving and their usual lifestyle totally different from our technological living.

4. Brr...but it's nice and cold here!

Being up in an altitude comparing to the urbanized low-lying areas, the place is a perfect getaway to be literally...refreshed. The cold climate is perfect in experiencing a feel close to Baguio...or Mountain Province (Because they are near to each other!laughs). Some crops are only available to be seen and harvested in this region.

5. Desserts. Fruits...anything about food!

One of the many things that distinguish Sagada is its dishes. There are specialties in every restaurant available. Most importantly, the sweets found here! The cold, creamy yoghurt by the Yoghurt House, Lemon Pie House and the like. Your sweet tooth will be delighted!

Take up your saddles...I mean backpacks and venture here. Be an adventurer or a first time traveler, you'll definitely be captivated. A smile just by setting foot close to nature's wonders.
