BICOL: living the south

The Bicol Region holds charisma in keeping tourists going back every time. A land where ruins and nature collide, never to compare but to compliment. Along with sumptuous food these made up...the Bicolandia.

1. Mountains. Volcanoes...everywhere.

The Philippines is a country teeming with wildlife, along with flora and various landforms that are truly praised with awe.
Mayon Volcano, the Region's crown jewel is always packed with travelers. And besides that there are various mountains found which is a go setter for an adventurer.

Bicol is known for its hearty food...filled with gata (coconut milk) and healthy dose of chilis. One could think the Bicolanos have the strongest stomachs out there! But don't you worry, there are also lots of sweets available. Especially for pasalubong!

3. Help...I'm being drowned in happiness!

Sorsogon is a place bound by sea. And you know what this means-water activities! From snorkeling, diving and talking to huge whale sharks you get a close encounter with marine life. There are also other bodies of water like falls and lakes. Don't forget to check them out!

4. Historical Significance

Cagsawa Ruins in Alabay (near Mayon) holds something significant. It bore witness to Mayon's eruption decades ago, resulting in it being buried. Beside this there are numerous places like Museums that hold heritage between the Bicolanos who were a part of our resitances during the colonial era.
